I have always loved blue accents in a white kitchen — especially here en Corse where the blue contrasts with the Mediterranean Sea so perfectly. It also reminds me of the classic Greek island homes – rich blue shutters on stark white stucco.
So this week – we transformed our white on white kitchen – in just two days. Using our original white canvas with stainless appliances into an amazing blue accented room. We choose more subtle grey blue shades for the wall paper and cabinet trim with handmade porcelain cabinet knobs in a deeper blue to finish the masterpiece (I add “modestly”). Ted and I really enjoyed doing this ourselves – while taking much earned breaks to dine and relax on the terrace in the warm sun. A perfect project completed!
Hope you enjoy the results as much as we did creating it!
Isn’t it spectacular?! Here are the close-ups of the cabinet knobs we purchased locally. Comptoir des Indes,
