Plage de Portigliolo

Today is our first full day en Corse.  We woke to a cloudy sky with blue breaking through during breakfast.  It’s warmer today with the sun pushing through. It’s so peaceful.  Before lunch, we took our first walk to explore the changes in our little hamlet – Plage de Portigliolo in Coti Chiavari.   Our local beach – just 5 min walk from U Castellu- was deserted.  So I took the opportunity to take a few photos to share.   I love the contrasting colors of the sea in our cove and the natural sculptures of large rocks on the sandy beach and in the shallow water.   

This time of year, the flowering plants are plentiful;  I was please to see the care taken this Spring to create a natural looking garden that separates our beach from the parking lot.  The mix of wild and planted flowers is beautiful. So despite overcast day,  the natural beauty and peaceful sounds bring back many wonderful memories.
